Steven Lawrence, MD

Dr. Lawrence received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He then attended Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, CO, for his residency and fellowship programs in Gastroenterology.

Dr. Lawrence has received many awards and honors including his military service in the U.S. Army where he left the United States Army as a Major and received the Meritorious Service Medal in 1992 and the United States Army-Army Achievement Medal in 1994 and 1996. Dr. Lawrence is also an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.

Dr. Lawrence was the Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado from 1996-2000 and the Medical Director for the GI Endoscopy Unit at the Denver VA Medical Center from 1996-1999. He has given presentations at several national and international GI meetings and has authored numerous publications in medical and GI journals.

Dr. Lawrence is a Fellow with the American College of Gastroenterology, a Fellow with the American College of Physicians, and a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Colorado Medical Society, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and Phi Beta Kappa.

Dr. Lawrence is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
