Asif Husain, MD

Dr. Husain completed his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degree at AGA Khan University Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. He went on to complete his internship in Internal Medicine at the University of North Dakota in Fargo, ND. Dr. Husain did his residency in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH. He then finished his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.

Dr. Husain has won many awards and honors including the ICIC Merit Scholarship for graduate medical training at AGA Khan University Hospital, awarded to only three students in Pakistan. And in 2019, Dr. Husain was recognized with the 2019 Frist Humanitarian Award for his contribution to medicine & honorable dedication to his community and our country. The Frist Humanitarian Award was created in 1971 to honor outstanding individuals associated with HCA Healthcare for their humanitarian and volunteer activities. Nominees must demonstrate remarkable concern for the welfare and happiness of patients and have performed extraordinary acts of kindness while demonstrating a level of commitment to community service.

Dr. Husain is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Cleveland Clinic Alumni Association.

Dr. Husain is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
