Liver Transplant

The liver transplant for the diseased liver, CO

A liver transplant is the replacement of a diseased liver with a healthy liver from another person. The most commonly used technique is an orthotropic transplantation, in which the diseased liver is removed and replaced by the donor organ in the same anatomic location as the original liver. Liver transplants are used to treat end-stage liver disease and acute liver failure.
