COVID-19 UPDATE & ADVISORIES

PLEASE NOTE ** All patients visiting our clinics and procedure centers are required to wear a facemask for the duration of the visit, and will be subject to a temperature check upon entrance to the facility.

Here at Rocky Mountain Gastroenterology, we are committed to the health and wellness of our staff and patients in our community. Our providers have devoted their lives to taking care of people, and continue to do so throughout the evolving news and updates about COVID-19. We are actively monitoring the situation, and following the suggested precautions and recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and our government. We want to ensure a safe and healthy environment while continuing to provide care to our patients as we move towards “Safer at Home” regulations. 

Beginning May 4th, we are preparing to increase procedure availability at all affiliated locations including:

  • Arapahoe Endoscopy Center
  • Aurora Endoscopy Center
  • Lakewood Endoscopy Center
  • North Denver Endoscopy Center

 

We are also working with all affiliated hospitals and procedure centers with regards to procedure scheduling. Each organization has their own standard guidelines for scheduling procedures within their facilities.

PROCEDURE CENTER REQUIREMENTS FOR PATIENTS:
All patients scheduled for a procedure must wear a face mask for the duration of their visit
Temperature checks will be administered prior to entering the center
No guests or visitors will be allowed in to the facility
Please note: select locations may require COVID-19 testing prior to procedure
PROCEDURE CENTER REQUIREMENTS FOR STAFF:
Our staff is required to wear surgical masks when in our facilities
Staff with direct contact with patients will wear surgical masks and gloves 
Infusion nurses & support staff in procedural suites will wear surgical masks, gloves, gowns
CRNA’s and Physicians wil wear N95 face masks 

 

TELEHEALTH VIRTUAL VISITS:

Telehealth virtual visits are now available with all of  our RMG providers and clinics! Please call your RMG clinic for details and to set up a virtual appointment using our telehealth services. All you need is a webcam, or a smart phone or tablet with a camera….and you can connect with our providers today! Click here for our step-by-step instructions. 

While restrictions my be easing up, patients with compromised immune systems and different comfort levels may not yet be ready to leave their homes. While some of our clinics will begin offering limited in-office consultations, we are encouraging patients to still use our telehealth services. Whether you are symptomatic or just need to touch base, connect with one of our providers from the comfort and safety of your own home. 

 

CLINIC VISITS

Select offices are offering limited in-office consultations, and patients must adhere to the following guidelines.

Temperature checks will be administered prior to entering the center
No guests or visitors will be allowed in to the facility

 

BILLING & SCHEDULING:

Procedure scheduling (option 1) is available from 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. You can also contact us via the website by requesting an appointment from the homepage.

Billing (option 2) is available via phone from 9am-3pm Monday-Friday. Messages will be checked throughout the day.

We are taking the following measures to protect our patients and staff:

  • Implementing additional travel and health screening questions for our patients
  • Separating chairs in waiting room to maintain 6-feet distance
  • Separating patients in procedure base to adhere to distancing requirements
  • Placing travel restrictions on all employees
  • Postponing our corporate events and in-person meetings
  • Promoting work-from-home arrangements wherever possible
  • Providing guidance, education, resources and supplies to our employees within our facilities.

 

During this challenging time, we will continue to monitor the situation, and adjust protocols if necessary. We realize this health situation has already been disruptive, but assure our patients we are still here to assist in their medical needs.
