Hepatitis C Work Up

Hepatitis C tests are used to screen for and diagnose an infection or to monitor the treatment of Hepatitis C (HCV). An anti-HCV test detects the presence of antibodies to the virus, indicating exposure to HCV. In the event that the anti-HCV test results are inconclusive, an HCV recombinant immunoblot assay (RIBA) test is an additional test that can confirm or deny the presence of HCV antibodies.
