CRH-O’Regan Internal Hemorrhoid Treatment

CRH-O’Regan Internal Hemorrhoid Treatment, also known as hemorrhoid banding, is a non-surgical treatment used to perform internal hemorrhoid removal when surgical procedures may not be necessary. There are two types of hemorrhoids – internal hemorrhoids and external hemorrhoids. Both of which are small cushions of swollen tissue and blood vessels located around the rectum. Internal hemorrhoids can cause bleeding, swelling, itching and eventually may become prolapsed, or protrude outside of the anus. There are several causes of hemorrhoids including constipation, straining while using the bathroom, pregnancy and more. Hemorrhoids are very common and occur in half of all adults before the age of 50.

CRH-O’Regan Internal Hemorrhoid Treatment may be chosen as a treatment option by an RMG physician to remove internal hemorrhoids in a fast, simple office procedure. The result is little to no pain and no recovery time. The treatment is performed by cutting off the blood supply to the hemorrhoid. That causes the swollen tissue to shrink in size and then fall off in a matter of several days. The procedure is considered to be 99 percent effective, takes less than one minute to complete, and there are rarely recurrence or complications for patients post-procedure.
