Small Bowel Capsule Endoscopy

Small bowel capsule endoscopy is performed to examine the entire digestive tract from the mouth to the anus. Because the small intestine is not visible using an endoscope or colonoscope, this procedure is primarily used to examine that specific section of the digestive tract. Small bowel capsule endoscopy is used to determine bleeding, CT scan abnormal finding, pain, X-ray findings, and barium enema abnormality.
